We moved into the NEW Dunbar High School building January 20, 2009.
The NEW building is located 50 yards in front of the old building (demolished in 2010).

The dedication ceremony for the new Paul Laurence Dunbar High took place Sunday February 22, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.

According to a news release, the new 117,763-square-foot Dunbar High School can serve 645 students in grades nine through 12 and offers a technology-rich learning environment with state-of-the-art classrooms.

Other features include a gymnasium that is twice the size of the former Dunbar gym and outdoor athletic fields that will serve not only Dunbar students, but also nearby Wogaman and Louise Troy schools and the surrounding neighborhood.
