Reading Counts Novel Analysis
Read a book of 100 pages or more within a classroom setting or at your own leisure!! Write a 5 page paper discussing and analyzing the details below that pertain to your particular selection. Your paper doesn’t have to be typed (if typed: 12-16 font + Double Spaced), but it does need to be in pen, in complete sentences, and in paragraph form according to topics. Keep in mind I have read the majority of these books and I do have an information packet for all of them!!!!
*INTRO PARAGRAPH
* Attention getter (Question, Statistic, or fact that relates to your paper)
* Title of the book and author
* Purpose or What will be proved (Thesis Statement)
*SECOND PARAGRAPH

Describe, in detail, all of the minor settings and the major settings!!!

Why do you think that the setting of this story is important to the plot?

If the story had taken place anywhere else, how would the resolution change? Why?
*THIRD PARAGRAPH

Why is it important for the reader to know descriptions of the characters that appear in your book? (How they look, act, background info, etc.)

Why would your reading experience be different if there were no background information about the characters?

If one of the main characters were eliminated from the plot, how would this affect the plot? Why?

Give some of the decisions that were made by the main characters.

What were some of the results/consequences of those decisions?

If an alternative decision was made by that character, would they benefit from it or be hurt? Why?
